Girl's & Women's Baseball Opportunities

GIRLS' TEAMS
There are multiple girls' and women's baseball teams all over the country that regularly compete in all-girls or women's baseball tournaments and also in traditionally "boys" tournaments like Cooperstown.
For 8u-18u girls, the largest all-girl's tournament is Baseball for All (BFA) Nationals, which is held every summer and brings together hundreds of girls from all over the country as well as international teams and players from Canada, Australia and Mexico!
You can join a local team, or sign up as a free agent and get assigned to a team. BFA is the best way for girls to connect to the girls' baseball community, to make lifelong friendships with girls from all over the country, and for families to find support and resources.

ALL-GIRLS TOURNAMENTS
Besides BFA Nationals, there are several other regional tournaments for girls and women:
-
Leighton Accardo Invitational (AZ)
-
Skylar Kaplan Pioneer Series (MD)
-
DMV Series (MD)
-
Lady Liberty Classic (NY)
-
EWBC Diamond Classic (VA)
-
Roy Hobbs World Series (Women's Division) (FL)
-
Slaterettes Classic (RI)
-
Maria Pepe Little League Legacy Series (PA)

MLB DEVELOPS

In partnership with USA Baseball, MLB Develops provides elite training, mentorship and showcase opportunities for female baseball players through programs like MLB Grit Girls Identification Series, MLB Trailblazers, MLB Elite Development Invitational and MLB Breakthrough Series.
MLB also provides free youth instruction from highly trained coaches at its Urban Youth Academies.

OTHER GROWTH & LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR GIRLS
The Baseball For All Ambassador Program provides opportunities for girls to play, coach and lead in baseball outside the mainland U.S. and internationally. There is an application process to become a BFA Ambassador. Ambassadors are chosen for a combination of their leadership qualities, passion for baseball, dedication to growing the game, and promise as players. BFA Ambassador teams have represented the U.S. to compete in Japan, the Philippines, Costa Rica, Mexico and O'ahu. Depending on the event, there are also opportunities for girls to be BFA Ambassador Junior Coaches, which helps them to develop their leadership and mentoring skills and think about baseball from a different perspective.
BFA Junior Coach Certification - Before serving as a Junior Coach for a BFA event, girls must participate in a live junior coaching instruction and earn their Junior Coach Certification.
BFA Next Gen Program - This is a program for high school girls to connect with and learn from women working in sports. The goal of the program is to expose girls to the world of possibilities available to them and get them thinking about how their love of baseball can translate into a future career.
